Dr. Binod Shah is an accomplished academician and administrator, currently serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Management at Rajarshi Janak University. With a distinguished career spanning over several decades, Dr. Shah has made significant contributions to education, research, and curriculum development in the field of management. Dr. Shah embarked on his academic journey by completing his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, in 1995, following which he pursued his Ph.D. in Commerce from B.R.A. Bihar University, India, graduating in 2013. His teaching career commenced in 1997 at Tribhuvan University’s R. R. M. Campus in Janakpurdham. Over the years, he has held various teaching positions, starting as a Part-Time Teacher and progressing to become a Permanent Lecturer before attaining his current position as an Associate Professor. His commitment to academic excellence and professional development is evident through his participation in the Faculty Development Program at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, in 2007-2008. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to education, Dr. Shah has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Nepal Bidhya Bhushan Padak “Ka” from the Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal, in 2016, and the Rastriya Siksha Samman from Focus Nepal, Kathmandu, in 2019. Dr. Shah’s expertise extends beyond teaching, as he has actively engaged in research endeavors. He has authored numerous articles published in reputable journals, covering diverse topics such as online teaching, financial analysis, consumer behavior, and management education methodologies. Additionally, he has presented papers at national and international conferences, further enriching scholarly discourse in his field. As an author, Dr. Shah has contributed significantly to management education through his authored and co-authored textbooks, catering to various levels of study, including BBA, BBS, MBA and MBS. His textbooks, characterized by their depth of knowledge and pedagogical approach, have been instrumental in shaping the learning experiences of countless students. Furthermore, Dr. Shah’s leadership roles within academic institutions underscore his administrative acumen and vision for educational advancement. He has served as the Head of various committees and programs, including the Accounting Subject Committee, Management Research Committee, and as the inaugural Director of the B.B.A. Program at R. R. M. Campus, Janakpurdham. His involvement in curriculum design for specialized management courses reflects his commitment to fostering holistic and industry-relevant learning environments. Dr. Shah’s dedication to mentorship is exemplified through his supervision and guidance of students pursuing their Master’s thesis and dissertation projects, nurturing the next generation of scholars and professionals in the field of management.
